Directed by Erik DeCicco; Assistant Direction/ Photography Direction by Zach Rivera
Premiered October 3 2020

Diastole was a half-virtual, half-live cabaret including solos and duets relating to medical conditions and situations. The purpose of the production was to show that theatre does not die in turbulent times. It can thrive and adapt and is very much alive. It was nominated for several awards at Region IV of the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival. Among these was Zach’s nomination for student director, and eligibility to compete in the SDC Initiative leading to his full scholarship to the Kennedy Center Directing Intensive.
